Bio

Lisa Jarnot is a poet and independent scholar. She was born in Buffalo, New York in 1967 and received a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York at Buffalo. From 1992-1994 she was a student in the MFA program at Brown University and in 2021 she received a Masters of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary. She has worked as a teacher, hospital chaplain, and ornamental gardener. She is currently completing PhD coursework at Drew Theological School. Her research interests include decoloniality, climate collapse, and the anthropocene extinction.
